About Us

The School and Family Support team at the UT Center for Literacy Studies offers expertise in a broad array of areas that impact the education and well-being of children and families.  Initially formed to support early childhood education and early grades literacy, the team has expanded to include collaboration with parents, practitioners, schools districts and state agencies.

We provide professional development, technical assistance, data management and evaluation to assist schools in improving academic outcomes, and also provide services to educators to enhance their capacity to involve families in supporting their children’s academic development. The School and Family Support team integrates theory, research and practice to promote educational experiences that lead to the enrichment of individual and family life.
