Dr. Beth Bingman, Associate Director

Beth Bingman is an associate director of the Center for Literacy Studies at the University of Tennessee. Her work there includes coordination of the NCSALL work Connecting Practice, Policy and Research, development of training resources for Equipped for the Future, and other professional development work.
She has published and presented at state and national conferences on professional development and assessment and accountability in adult literacy education and on women’s learning in Appalachian community organizations. She holds a Ph. D. with a concentration on adult education from the University of Tennessee. Before coming to the Center for Literacy Studies, Bingman worked as a county coordinator for a literacy program in Virginia.
