Aaron Kohring, Research Associate II
EFF/Numeracy/Learning Disability
Aaron has worked at the Center for Literacy Studies as a research associate and professional development trainer since 1999. He has extensive experience with standards-based education at the Equipped for the Future (EFF) Center and has specific content knowledge and experience in the areas of Adult Reading, Mathematics/Numeracy, Learning Disabilities (LD), and Workforce Preparation. He performs data collection, management, and analysis on a National Science Foundation-sponsored Project TIAN (Teachers Investigating Adult Numeracy), which piloted a professional development model in Adult Numeracy. He has also been involved in the National Institute for Literacy’s LINCS project by serving as the LD content coordinator for the Program Planning Resource Collection websites. Aaron has previous teaching experience in a variety of settings - one-on-one tutoring, ABE, GED, and ESOL.
