Beth Ponder, Interim Director


Beth Ponder became Associate Director in charge of the Center for Literacy Studies' Tennessee Adult Education team in December 2005. That team is responsible for technical assistance and professional development for adult education staff across the state. Ms Ponder joined the Center for as the librarian in January of 2001.

That work included maintaining the Center's physical library, cataloging materials on the Web for the National Institute for Literacy's LINCS Project, answering reference questions and assisting staff and teachers with locating needed resources. Ms Ponder has a Bachelor's Degree in English and is pursuing her Masters Degree in Information Sciences. In her spare time, Ms Ponder likes to read, sing, travel, and spend time with her family.
